Journal of Curriculum Theorizing

In February 2008, the Corporation for Curriculum Research notified Alan Jones, the publisher at Caddo Gap Press, that their services were no longer required regarding publishing the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing. The decision to  begin publishing the journal online rather than in print was made for several reasons including: wider accessibility, particularly to international readers across borders, increased flexibility and creativity due to online formats, and sensitivity to ecological and financial sustainability.

The Library of Congress was notified of the journal’s transition from print to online in the summer of 2008 and JCT was issued a new ISSN: 1942-2563.

As of April 1, 2009, the Foundation for Curriculum Theory became the sole owner of the journal, Journal of Curriculum Theorizing, and conference, Bergamo Conference on Curriculum Theory and Classroom Practice, when the Corporation for Curriculum Research transferred ownership to the new organization.

Unfortunately, Caddo Gap Press continues to solicit subscriptions for the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing without having the authority to do so.

The Foundation for Curriculum Theory has no relationship with Caddo Gap Press, who worked with the prior organization responsible for editing the journal, the Corporation for Curriculum Research.
